The Android Robot From Japanese
Some public (two) of the Japanese companies Brilliant Benefit and RT Corporation had prepare and bought the lovable Android robot and make it to life. guess what, it is Android-powered. They call it with the RIC Android. so, many would have liked it better had they named it Robot 1-X. But alas! RT Corporation has built the hardware while the software was developed by Brilliant Benefit.
The RIC Android weights around 14kg or 31 pounds and is 120 cm tall (just not more than 4 feet). It can, but, extend to 130 cm or 5’3” when showing the on-board controller by opening its mouth. And, it can go its head and arms too. It also has 10 points of articulation in the legs and hips so that it can be stable while it is walking on uneven ground.
there is no news as to which version of Android as been used for developing the robot, but some of the pictures show public using G1 when uploading some software. In fact, RT Corporation has a long-term plotting for RIC Android and intends to place it in the classrooms as some kind of a teacher’s aide, or in houses to be used as “life-blogging” tools. This way RIC would be able to record all for you, you wont have to do it yourself, ever.
